Allen Gardiner, MAI, SRA
Allen Gardiner is an owner in Gardiner Ray, LLC, a leading appraisal and real estate consulting firm in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Lubbock area. Gardiner Ray, LLC offers residential and commercial appraisal services and was founded in 2016. Prior to venturing in his own appraisal service company, Allen was the Vice President of Residential for one of the larger appraisal and consulting firms in the North Texas area and began his career in 1992.
Allen currently holds the MAI and SRA designations with the Appraisal Institute, the leading professional real estate appraiser organization. Allen has been involved on a local, regional, and national basis with the Appraisal Institute. He has served as President of the North Texas Chapter of Appraisal Institute, as well as a Regional Representative and previously resided as the national Chair of the Residential Advisory Committee for the Appraisal Institute. He is also a member of the Texas Plains Chapter. In 2017, Allen was awarded the Volunteer of Distinction by the Appraisal Institute, while in 2019 he was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award.
Allen is a member of RAC, an organization devoted to residential relocation and complex assignments. He currently serves on the national board of directors and will become President in 2022. Allen is also currently serving as a representative with FACT (Foundation Appraisers Coalition of Texas). He has served with FACT (Foundation Appraisers Coalition of Texas) as a committee member in the initial efforts of submitting potential legislation for AMCs in Texas.
Allen received his BBA in Finance and Economics from Texas Tech University in 1991 and has been a strong supporter of Texas Tech University in its academic and athletic achievements.
Allen and his wife, Leslie, have two children, Hagen and Haylie, and reside in Frisco, Texas. The family is a member of St. Andrew Methodist Church in Plano, Texas, and is involved in numerous civic organizations in the DFW area. David Ray, SRA
David Ray is an owner in Gardiner Ray, LLC, a leading appraisal and real estate consulting firm in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Lubbock area. Gardiner Ray, LLC offers residential and commercial appraisal services and was founded in 2016. David has been involved in numerous appraisal and consulting assignments since beginning is career in 2004 in the North Texas area.
David currently holds the SRA designation with the Appraisal Institute, the leading professional real estate appraiser organization. He is involved on a local basis with the Appraisal Institute. He has served two different terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the North Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. In addition, David has served on the Nominating Committee and as an alternate committee member FACT (Foundation Appraisers Coalition of Texas). David is currently serving as the Treasurer of the North Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and is also a member of the Texas Plains Chapter.
David also is a member of RAC, an organization devoted to residential relocation and complex assignments. David regularly attends the RAC national conferences and is an involved member.
David received his BBA in Finance from The University of North Texas in 2005. He is currently serving on the University of North Texas Collin County Alumni Steering Committee.
David and his wife, Kim, have two children, Cade and Ryann, and have resided in Frisco, Texas for the past six years. The family attends First United Methodist Church in Richardson, Texas, and is involved in numerous activities in the DFW area. Sydney Brell is a graduate from Texas Tech University and began her career in appraising in late 2017. She has had experience in valuing single-family residences, multi-family properties, small office properties, and vacant undeveloped land. Due to her interest in architectural and interior design, she especially enjoys working on luxury residential properties. Sydney maintains her trainee license with the State of Texas and is working towards obtaining her General Certification through education administered by the Appraisal Institute and other leading education providers. As an active AI member, Sydney is involved with various Appraisal Institute events and has enjoyed being a part of the Appraisal Institute Young Appraiser Professionals Group.
John started his appraising career in 1998. He studied at UNT and has taken numerous classes and seminars through the Appraisal Institute, CCCC, and other education providers. John maintains his state license with the State of Texas. John’s primary focus is on residential property and vacant land in North Texas.
John has been married to his beautiful wife, Shelly, for 15 years. They have two wonderful daughters who are 13 years old and 9 years old. In his free time, you can usually find John at one of his daughters’ sporting events.
Cory was born and raised in Lubbock and has always called it home. He studied real estate at South Plains College has taken numerous real estate and appraisal classes through other education providers. He has been involved with both the real estate and the homebuilding industry for the past 15 years. Cory and his wife Allyn have two great kids, a daughter who is 11 and a son who is 8. He and his family attend First United Methodist Church in downtown Lubbock. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golf, and spending time with his family.
Craig received Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Texas Tech in 2004 and has owned his homebuilding / commercial construction company for over a decade. He acquired his Appraisal Trainee license in 2019 and is currently working on his certification. Craig and his wife, Courtney, have resided in Lubbock, Texas for the past 16 years. The family attends Holy Spirit Catholic church and is involved in numerous activities in the Lubbock area.
